Newport Mobility Scooter Provision

The following sites have mobility scooters for hire… it is ALWAYS wise to enquire in advance to ensure one is available:

Newport Wetlands RSPB

There are ten blue badge parking bays. Drop-off at the visitor centre arranged by telephone. A unisex accessible toilet along with separate ladies and gents are available on the ground floor of Visitor Centre, with level, step-free access. Four main trails, all of which are level on compacted gravel and dust, with one incline using a zig-zag. The floating walkways have been used by wheelchairs, scooters and pushchairs, but caution should be taken due to buoyancy. There is natural viewing opportunities throughout the reserve and a wheelchair-accessible hide and viewing screens overlook the reedbeds and main lagoons. There are three mobility scooters and two wheelchairs available to borrow free of charge.
